Tuscaloosa United Church of Christ will offer “Ashes to Go,” bringing a centuries-old Christian tradition into the heart of Tuscaloosa.
This is an opportunity for anyone to receive ashes on their forehead, symbolizing repentance, forgiveness, and renewal. Whether you’re on the go or simply seeking a moment of reflection, you are invited to pause, receive ashes, and step into the sacred season of Lent.
For centuries, Christians have begun Lent with the sign of the cross in ashes—a reminder of our human limitations and an invitation to embrace God’s grace. Ashes to Go offers a way to participate in this meaningful tradition wherever you are.
